Winter Soup Fest
Our Winter Soup Fest invites the wider community for fellowship that offers a variety of “all you can eat” soups. It is the Deaf church’s warm hospitality that brings people back for more! Funds raised from the Soup Fest supports missions and ministries in the community.

DeafBlind Ministry
The Deaf church has a DeafBlind ministry where volunteers visit DeafBlind people in the nearby community. People new to interacting with DeafBlind people are provided a brief training to be a Co-Navigator (CN) / Support Service Provider (SSP).

Congregational Care
Whenever someone is having difficulties, whether in a nursing home rehab or in the hospital, we send cards, offer visitations and prayers. Reach out to Rev. Leo for any assistance.

Church Events
Our church has periodic church activities and events that is open to the Deaf community.

Bible Study
Join us on Wednesdays twice a month for Bible study at 7pm on Zoom.
Join us for our in-person Bible study for coffee and holy conversations.
Join us for Sunday School at 8:30am in room 5. We gather for Christian fellowship and light refreshments.
Also, we have Coffee with the Pastor each month for more conversations.

Community Outreach
We extend our worship community to an area assisted living facility that has Deaf and hard of hearing residents. We also visit Deaf group homes so we can extend our fellowship to them.

Christian Fellowship
We have fellowship and monthly potluck meals! On the first Thursday of the month at 4:30pm, we gather for dinner at a restaurant in the community.
On the last Sunday following worship, we have a potluck meal together as well as other times of the month.
Every year, we also have a Christmas party!

Teaching ASL & Deaf Ministry
Members of the church teach periodic ASL classes that includes an introduction to Deaf culture and the Deaf community. It’s Magothy’s way of creating bridges and relationships with the wider community. Deaf Ministries is a helpful book for hearing churches wishing to learn about Deaf ministry.

Communion Ministry
Members serve as Communion Stewards and assist with the sharing of Holy Communion, both during worship and in the community when visiting residents at nursing homes or assisted living facilities.

Hospitality Ministry
The Deaf church’s hospitality is an expression of welcome. Members support the set up and clean-up of meals and gatherings, whether it’s for potluck meal, Sunday School & Fellowship, a Christmas party, or following a funeral service. This includes accessibility too.
